home » What is RSS?
Use the orange RSS button in the navigation bar to the left stay up to date with the latest updates to just-basset-hounds.com.
The RSS/XML buttons that you see on many web popular web sites can be used to get news from CNN or just about anything else including upcoming movies and DVD releases, blog posts, etc.
Once you get started, it's like having your favorite parts of the Web come to you. No need to go out and check for updates all the time. No need for bookmarks!
"RSS" means "Really Simple Syndication." But that's just a fancy way of saying that you can keep up with all the updates to just-basset-hounds.com without having to check the site every week to see "what's new." I release new pages and updates to old ones through RSS. I also add special posts every once in a while.
It's easy to subscribe (no email address required) and you can easily unsubscribe at any time (although I hope you won't).
Download a free RSS Reader first (or skip to the bottom if you do not want to download software). This is special software that reads my RSS feed and others that you may be interested in...
Windows -- RssReader
Mac -- NetNewsWire
Once you're set up, here's all you have to do...
Right-click (control-click for Mac users) on the orange RSS button on any page of this site, or any blog or news source that interests you. Select Copy Shortcut ("Copy Link to Clipboard" on a Mac), and paste that URL into your RSS Reader.
That's it! You'll be subscribed.
You can also use a Web-based RSS reader, like My Yahoo!, My MSN, or iGoogle/Google Reader. The buttons displayed below are on the bottom of the navigation bar which is located on the left hand side of every page on this site.
Click on the appropriate button on the navigation bar to the left to add the RSS feed to that Web-based reader.
