laying on the lounge chair head on the arm rest.. with his buddy "MO"

We went to our local Shelter. There he was... Skinny droopy, and absolutely quite....The folks where great. Let us stay with him and then go outside to get to know him and see how he would react to our bossy Yorkie.

Went home got the wife brought the 11 year old boss of the house MO, our Yorkie..

Not a sound from the basset. Polite to the Yorkie, definitely let him dominate... Walked easily on his leash. His mom and dad where AKC registered according to the papers supplied by the pound. WOW this is great!!!!!

Took him home and for the first 2 days same attitude and demeanor... Then the first Aroooohhhhh! Bouncing around the house. Bowled over the cat.... shredded any paper available... got on the couch.. dug in the yard...

I was not too upset but was concerned.. Of course, the end of all concern came when Barney was at the couch with me and let out his now famous WOOF WOOF and I said "BARNEY!!!" Quite!!! and he responded with the same excitement but let out his woof woof wooof and less than half the volume... Well I was his from then on. 5 years later he is just the best ever friend and pal you could ask for... From the skinny quite self deposed dog he is now 70 pounds of people stopping bud..

My wife refuses to take him downtown because it is like being with a rock star. EVERYONE has to stop and pet him or comment... He of course just LOVES it...Best dog ever...
