I adopted a Basset named Clyde a year ago today and for the first month or so he wouldn't play. Then one day while on a trip with Clyde, my girlfriend and I visited a friend of hers, whose dog had just had a litter of pups. Clyde picked out his sister for us. He went over to one of the pups and started to "BARRROOOOO" at her. He then proceeded to run around the little pup and nudge her. So we decided that since he liked her so much we'd take her home with us. Since that day my 7 year old basset hasn't been acting like an old dog, he has acted the same age as his sister Isobel, maybe even younger.
