Sam I Am The Chicken Man

by Meredith and Lee
(Keizer, Oregon)

Is there a respite group for those with agged Bassette hounders?

I know they will be goin on The "High Way to Heaven" soon. Their job is as it was down here to watch for strangers, scratch the floor, take us for walks and tell us when it is time to stick to our daily schedule and tuck us into bed.

I am well trained now so as in "Pete's Dragon" it is time for Sam to get things ready else where.
To check things out, especially to smell the entire area around heaven's Gate and fence.
Then to wait for three o'clock when Daddy's bus gets home to great him.

Thanks buddy for showing me how deep love and trust can be.
Your human,
Lee M.

I know how you fee. My Hunter will be 14 in October. He's had a tough time with health issues this year. But, he's still here. He's my best bud. Hoping he makes it to his 14th birthday.

my dog Sam
by: A. Garbacz

It worries me that my sam is getting up there in age...he is rarely sick, and full of energy. he is starting to slow down a bit and his hips are giving him trouble, and lately i find myself tearing up when i watch him sleep...i have lost pets, but he has been my guy for 7 yrs...rescued at 3..me and my hubby are getting scared. vet says they aren't meant to around very long, so enjoy him. so holding my breath a lot now...this is too hard.

Sam reminds me of my 10 year old Tyler - so adorable.
Heaven holds a special place for all animals and their humans.
