I have wanted a Basset all my life and at the age of 26, little hope of even finding one, I came home after work and my girlfriend surprised me with this little guy. Only 1 month after giving up a 2 year search for one he was a dream come true and the first time I had ever seen one with my own eyes.
He brings the best out of me and is a real show stopper when we go for a walk. People always look and smile, want to pat him all the way to extremes of just grabbing him off us, offering money for a picture with him. One time we were at a spring fair and stopped and got him a plain ice cone and we ended up with a crowd of people, like we were the main act or something. Gordon loved it.
Well that's a bit about my boy Gordon.
p.s. have recently found a group of amazing people in UK who help unlucky bassets who need help. The site is Basset Hound welfare. They are people who inspire me.
