General Loves The Boat!

Being from Charleston, S.C. we have been recreational fishermen our entire lives. Not long after our Basset Hound "General" came into our lives we found out that he LOVES going in the boat. We moved from Charleston to the lower Florida Keys and General's love of the water continued, as did ours.

I remember most of all going diving for lobster under the US 1 bridge and as I would bring a lobster to the boat and go for another one I could hear General barking at the lobster even though I was under water about 8 feet deep! Upon returning home General would sit by the grill waiting for me to cook our catch. He liked the dinner more than I did. That's for sure!

We stayed in the Keys for almost 3 years before the economy put a halt to work so we moved back home to Charleston. General is 7 years old now and continues to go in the boat with us, awaiting the fish that are sure to be caught and brought into the boat so he can bark at them just to let them know who the Captain really is!
