Daddys Little Girl

This is a photo of my Basset Hound " Becca" / Rebecca Barrenger Witches Moon. We had her from a pup but sadly lost her this year to cancer. She had only just turned 9. Its not until you loose your dog you realise what a huge part of your live they take with them. My whole life has been turned upside down I find myself with nothing to do, and no order in my day. I would do anything for just one more early morning walk with her, or to come home for lunch and find her sleeping "snoring" away on the sofa but I know that will never be. I'm sad at work writing this and I'm starting to well up. I came to this site looking for ideas on a name for the a new Basset we're hopefully getting from the same kennel, and thought I'd just add her name to the list, maybe someone else will see it and choose it for their Basset and love theirs as much as I loved mine.

Sorry for your loss
by: Bj

Sorry you have lost your pet. The loss of a pet to me is gut-wrenching. We now have our 3rd consecutive basset hound. But the poor thing has to put up with me accidentally calling her by the previous 2 bassets' names from to time. I tell people bassets are lovers, not fighters.

i also lost my sweet basset to cancer this past February. I would love to walk her just one more time - have her for one more day.
She was the best. i understand your loss.
