Why So Inquisitive?

They are not being nosy. But, they do need information about you and your household so that they can make a good match between you and a homeless Basset Hound.

Asking questions is a normal part of the applicant screening process. They do not care if you have the prettiest or cleanest house on the block. But, they should ask reasonable and relevant questions to increase the odds of a successful Basset Hound adoption.

Basset Hound rescue organizations keep the the best interests of each dog in mind during the placement process. Their goal is to match each dog to a permanent and loving home and ensure that the individual needs of each dog are met.

You should feel free to ask questions too. Ask about the adoption process and post adoption support. Find out as much information as you can about each dog that you are considering. Work with the rescue to ensure that you adopt a dog that is a good match for you and your family.
