Like any pet owner, I'd love it if my Basset Hound could be part of my family forever. He spent a day at the veterinarian's office getting his teeth cleaned while I was home alone working and its hard to believe how much I missed him that day.
I'm not sure how I'll handle it when his time comes. But, for now my goal is to do whatever I can to ensure that he lives a long, happy, and healthy life.

My Basset Hound, Hunter, lived to the ripe old age of 14 (actually he died one day short of his 14th birthday). He really did have a long and happy life and for the most part was quite healthy up until his last year.
